Welcome to Tools for Divers
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of all apps published by Tools for Divers, LLC, including Dalton, Slate, and Slate Link. By downloading, installing, or using any of our apps, you agree to these Terms.
Important: Our apps are diving tools, not substitutes for proper dive training, safety equipment, a functioning dive computer, or good diving judgment.
About Our Apps
Dalton — Technical Diving Gas Calculator
Dalton is a safety-critical gas calculation tool for technical divers. It performs MOD, MinOD, EAD, END, Best Mix, gas density, partial pressure, return number, bottom time, team gas matching, and multi-gas dive profile calculations entirely offline on your device.
Dalton is a paid app available on iOS and Android. A one-time purchase grants a perpetual license to use the app. Dalton performs all calculations locally on your device with no accounts and no collection of personal data. The only network activity is anonymous crash reporting via Sentry and purchase verification via RevenueCat (through the App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android).
Slate — Professional Dive Logbook
Slate is a dive logging app for iPhone. It records, reviews, and analyzes scuba dives with data from manual entry, dive computers, UDDF files, and Apple Watch. All dive data is stored locally on your device, with optional iCloud sync across your Apple devices.
Slate is free to download. Core logging, dive computer import, search, and export are free with no limits. Slate Premium unlocks advanced analytics, career trends, on-device analysis, and additional features via an annual subscription or lifetime purchase.
Slate Link — macOS Dive Computer Companion
Slate Link is a free macOS companion app for Slate. It downloads dive data from dive computers over Bluetooth and syncs it to your Slate logbook via iCloud.
